Venn, 3 x American Ninja Warrior competitor, also now known as “The Bull Riding Ninja”, has invested his entire life doing things to make him the best he can be at whatever he sets his mind to. Being the oldest professional bull rider competing at the most elite level of bull riding, he finds training for the American Ninja Warrior and several recovery techniques allows him to continue to be competitive with bull riders and ninjas half his age. He has over 30 years of experience that started with the U.S. Olympic training center in Pueblo Colorado when he was just 15 years old to most recently training with the legendary PRCA World Champion bull rider Gary Leffew. His philosophy for life and athletics were shaped by ideas stemming from Bruce Lee. Take bits and pieces of information from all available learning opportunities and use them to create your own unique discipline.
Some accomplishments over the years include, U.S. National Men’s Gymnastics team member, Full Gymnastics Scholarship, NCAA All American, Professional MMA fighter with 14-3 record, Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Karate, Championship bull riding title from South America, Multiple association finals contestant and now American Ninja Warrior competitor.
No matter what your goals, no matter what your starting point, the journey determines the outcome. That journey isn’t one traveled alone and Venn wants to help anyone and everyone that has the desire to be the best at anything they set their minds to. Health and fitness do not come easy but with Venn’s help along the way, it will not only be satisfying, but absolutely the most fun you have ever had!

Sam is a native Oklahoman and was a Season 9 competitor on American Ninja Warrior. He is an avid rock climber with his 2 daughters. Even though he never chose to participate in athletics in his younger years, his desire to excel rapidly and become the next American Ninja Warrior is clearly shown through his passion for training and teaching.
